Trip Details
Location: Deschutes River, Maupin, OR
Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
Departure: 10:45 a.m. from Portland
Total Duration: 8 hours
Rafting Time: 3.5 hours on the water
Return: Around 7:00 p.m. in Portland
Difficulty: Moderate—good for first-timers, with just enough wild to keep it interesting.
Itinerary
10:45 a.m. – Meet-Up and Departure from Portland
Pack your sense of adventure (and maybe a dry set of clothes). We’re driving to Maupin, where Oregon’s high desert meets white water.
1:30 p.m. – Rafting the Deschutes
Once in Maupin, our guides get us prepped and geared up for the main event: three-and-a-half hours on the Deschutes River, taking on rapids, catching the views, and making some serious memories.
5:00 p.m. – Head Back to Portland
After the ride, we’ll dry off, relive the day’s best moments, and hit the road. Expect to be back in Portland by 7:00 p.m., refreshed and definitely ready for more.
What to Wear & Bring
Quick-Drying Clothes: Swimsuit or shorts, rash guard, and water-friendly sandals
Sunscreen & Sunglasses: High desert means high sun exposure
Daypack Essentials: Water bottle, snack, and dry clothes
