This Field Trip is all about soaking up spring vibes, challenging yourself just enough, and reconnecting with nature.
We’ve got everything lined up: transport, snacks, and those signature Camp Yoshi touches that turn a hike into an experience. You just show up ready to move, and we’ll handle the rest.
Let’s get outside, stretch those legs, and take a well-deserved pause. Spaces are limited, so don’t wait to lock yours in
RAFTING DESCHUTES RIVER
Get ready for a wild ride, fam—on June 7, we’re heading out to the Deschutes for a half-day of white-water action. Picture this: crisp canyon air, sagebrush rolling in the wind, and rapids that’ll keep you grinning ear to ear. We’ll leave Portland at 10:45 a.m., hit the river, and let the Deschutes show us what it’s got.
And the best part? Once we’re off the water, it’s Camp Yoshi Tacos and cold cervezas to wrap up the day, Yoshi style.
Thrills, laughs, and just the right dose of nature’s wild side—this one’s gonna be a memory-maker. Come through!
HIKE - MT. RAINIER
Mark your calendars, folks—on July 19, we’re heading to the iconic Mt. Rainier for a day hike that’s equal parts awe and adventure. Towering peaks, alpine meadows, and trails that’ll have you feeling like you stepped into a postcard—this is the pause you didn’t know you needed.
We’ll tackle a trail that’s as rewarding as it is stunning, soaking in those glacier views and mountain vibes every step of the way. And because it’s Camp Yoshi, you know there’ll be good eats and even better company to round out the day.
Nature’s calling—don’t leave her on read. Let’s do this.
INTRO TO SURFING
Grab your board (or we’ll bring one for you) and meet us on the coast for an unforgettable day riding waves Camp Yoshi style. On August 2, we’re heading to one of Oregon’s stunning beaches for a surf experience designed with beginners in mind. Never surfed before? Perfect. This day is all about learning, laughing, and soaking in that Pacific salt air.
And when you’ve worked up an appetite? We’ve got you covered with a post-surf feast right on the beach. Think fish tacos, hearty gumbo, and chowder that’ll warm your soul as the waves roll in.
Bring your energy, your curiosity, and your sunscreen—Oregon surf’s up, and so are we.

FIELD TRIP FAQs
-
Great question! For some Field Trips, like those involving a little wine or spirits, it’s 21 and up. But if it’s one of our family-friendly adventures, feel free to bring anyone along who’s up for the ride! If you’re unsure, check the trip details, and we’ll help you figure out if it’s a match for the whole crew.
-
So your buddy wants to jump in at the last second, huh? We totally get it. And while we’re all for spontaneous adventure, there’s a bit of planning involved to keep things smooth and comfy for everyone on board. Last-minute additions might not always be possible, but reach out anyway, and we’ll see what we can do! If not, hey, maybe it’s the perfect reason to plan a second trip together.
-
From winter snow shoeing to sunny summer hikes, our Field Trips range in activities and atmospheres. Camp Yoshi always recommends bringing a water bottle, comfortable shoes, and clothes you can move in, but for a more specific pack list check out the trip's details.

We love our four-legged adventurers just as much as you do, but there’s a bit of fine print here. While Camp Yoshi is generally dog-friendly at heart, it’s also people-friendly—and not everyone is comfortable around pups. Given our diverse routes, locations, and regulations (plus the need to keep the peace with other campers), the short answer is: probably not.
However, some select trips and trails are open to well-behaved dogs—just check with us! Or, if you’re booking a private adventure, bring the whole pack—fur, fins, feathers, you name it! 😄
